A private tunnel for Android
Rahgozar is a VPN app for Android. It uses Android's VpnService to build a device-level tunnel and routes your traffic through a server you pick.
Most apps turn the dial green the moment the tunnel process starts. Rahgozar waits until real traffic has travelled through the tunnel and come back. If nothing comes back, it says so rather than showing a green screen over a dead connection.
Every server is timed from your own device, in parallel, and results appear as they arrive. The number next to a server is what your phone measured a moment ago — not a figure from a marketing page.
Networks differ, and no single protocol behaves well everywhere. The app carries several and uses whichever a given server requires.
Per-app routing lets you send a browser or a game through the tunnel while other apps keep their normal route. The choice is made and applied entirely on your device.
Rahgozar does not promise anonymity, and it does not claim to make anyone untraceable. It is a tunnel: it moves traffic to a different exit point and encrypts it along the way. Anything you tell a website about yourself, you still told it.
The app does not log the sites you visit or the content of your traffic, holds no permission for your location, contacts, photos or files, and has no accounts or sign-up. The full detail is on the privacy policy page.
Rahgozar is built on software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3. The corresponding source for released versions is published as that licence requires.
